I’ve got you under my skin.

Sorry it took me so long to get this post up. I got busy.

Anyway…the rumor of Seether’s cover of Sinatra’s I’ve Got You Under My Skin has been around for a little while. Today, the song was officially released on iTunes.

So the first time I heard about the cover, I really wondered if Shaun could pull it off. Sinatra’s voice is so smooth. Shaun’s is so raw. Doesn’t seem like a good mix.

And after listening to, I’m still not sure it’s a good mix. It’s very different than the original which is a good thing. It’s almost got a creepy sound to it. The first time I listened to it, I thought it was just okay. The second time…I really listened to it, and Shaun’s voice started to weave it’s spell like it always does. The song may grow on me.

Take a listen to the new song.

The original for comparison.

I’d really like to know what everyone thinks about the new cover, so answer the poll and leave comments if you have something more to add other than yes or no. 😀

  1. I had to go 30seconds into the song to know i love it. Shauns voice and the bass are kinda hypnotic. And i love it when he clears his throat in the beginning. LOL.

    • I woke up with the song in my head this morning. Mmmm, Shaun’s voice in the morning. LOL 😉

Anyway…yeah, I love Shaun’s voice too. Sometimes I wish he would just sing and sing and cover every song ever made just so we would have an endless supply of Shaun singing.

  2. Wow… I think this cover is amazing! Its so different though. I cant figure it out… its almost… sexy? I’m not sure but it is beautiful. His voice/ talent just continues to amaze me. 🙂
