Seether in Okinawa

I was watching some video from Seether playing on the USO tour…and it really hit me. Half of Seether is not even from the United States! They’re taking time out of their break to play several concerts for OUR troops for FREE. Dale and Shaun are amazing for doing it, and I have a feeling that John and Troy are a good influence on them. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here’s a thank you from a retired soldier who saw the USO show in Okinawa.

I just wanted to say a HUGE “Thank You!” to SEETHER for coming to OKinawa and performing not one, but two Kick-Ass Concerts for the military men and women! Plus taking the time for photos and signing autographs and meeting with the Military people! Not to mention the partying afterwards!! ๐Ÿ˜‰
More bands should be as cool,Bad-Ass, and Fucking Hardcore Rockers like SEETHER!!
It’s not about politics, or social climate or anything else. It’s about supporting the men and women, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers that are willing to place there lives in harms way for America.
I was lucky enough to meet them(though briefly) at the photo and signing. They were sincere and real. Shaun even apoligize to me and said “Sorry they(USO staff) are rushing you guys.” What else could I say but “It’s cool. Don’t worry about it.”
There were a lot of people that wanted to meet them. from very young to my age(43).
They met us all with smiles and real feeling.
SEETHER met us, they talked with us, they partied with us, and they ROCKED the Hell out us for two nights in a small island in the Pacific.
When a band like SEETHER flys over 8,000 miles with little rest and performs (two of the best performances I’ve ever seen) It means something. Thank you so much. Please, please, come back next year or sooner. There is much love for SEETHER in Okinawa.
Can’t thank you enough,
Retired E-7

A few videos that have been popping up on YouTube. There appeared to be some real Seether fans at the concerts.

  1. I was there and you said it all. I couldn’t agree more. They even took the time to play with my kids at the meet n greet. We went to both Foster and Kadena and when we walked into the room in the USO on Kadena they recognized us and were blown away that we showed up a second time. We couldn’t have met nicer guys! They rocked!!

    • They do rock. All my readers will agree with you on that one. ๐Ÿ™‚ How cool that they recognized you the second night.
